History of Shiloh’s Transition
A Season of Discernment
Shiloh Church entered a period of prayerful discernment as the United Methodist Church experienced significant changes in direction and identity. Our congregation spent many months studying Scripture, reviewing denominational developments, and seeking God’s guidance for the future of our local church.
During this time, members participated in conversations, listening sessions, and times of prayer, all with the shared desire to remain faithful to Christ and to preserve the historic, Wesleyan character of our ministry.
Leadership Through Transition
As Shiloh considered its path forward, Mead McGee provided steady and thoughtful leadership. Mead helped guide the congregation through the process of stepping away from the United Methodist Church and preparing for a new chapter of ministry. His approach was marked by humility, clarity, and a deep love for the people of Shiloh.
Mead’s leadership helped ensure that the transition was carried out with care, unity, and a commitment to honoring Christ in every decision.
Remembering Mead McGee
During this pivotal season, Mead’s sudden passing brought deep sadness to our church family. We remember him with gratitude for the wisdom, devotion, and courage he offered during a time of significant change. His legacy remains woven into the life of Shiloh, and we give thanks for the faithful guidance he provided.
A New Chapter
Following the congregation’s vote, Shiloh stepped forward into a new season of ministry as a Global Methodist church. Our mission remains unchanged: to worship God, make disciples of Jesus Christ, and serve our community with compassion and integrity.
We continue to move forward with hope, trusting in God’s direction and grateful for the leaders and members who helped shape this important chapter in our history.
