Welcome
Welcome to Shiloh Church of Tioga!
We are a Bible based, Bible teaching, Bible preaching church. We are not a new church in the community, but a "renewed" church. Our church name is "SHILOH", meaning "Messiah" and “Heavenly Peace". It’s named for the congregation originating from 1887, in Shiloh. We are Shiloh! Only a few of our previous methods have changed, but our message has not. We are a church in the Methodist tradition.
We welcome you! Visit with us and you will feel the peace Shiloh offers in the presence of the Lord.
I am Mead McGee, Pastor of Shiloh Church. I am here to serve the Lord and to introduce you to Jesus Christ. You will see Jesus in the faces of our congregation. Just leaving the world behind for even an hour a week will give you the peace you seek, a rest from a stressful world.
I began my ministry years ago when I was called to serve. I grew from a young Christian boy in Amarillo Texas to a faithful follower of Jesus Christ. Our relationship grew in my heart, and I continued to grow in my faith.
I have lived in Tioga for many years. Shiloh church is my home where God has led me to bring His message. I first became a Lay Speaker at this church, and then on to be certified as a Lay Minister. Wanting to grow more in my relationship with Jesus and my church family, I studied to become a Licensed Local Pastor in the UMC. I completed my licensing in May of 2022. As the church has disaffiliated from the UMC; my license is now with the Lord.
I married my wife Karen on Oct 3rd, 1992 and we’ve been happily married ever since. Our lives together have been formed through our beliefs and our love for God. Karen has been my partner in life and serves alongside me. We are together in this ministry. Additionally, Karen's ministry is her love for children and youth. She has served as a youth leader for 16 years.
As Pastor of Shiloh Church, my desire is to connect people to Jesus Christ. We are the church; the people in God’s family and our church is growing!
Pastor Mead McGee
We are not a church full of perfect people. We are not claiming to know all there is to know about the Bible. We are not afraid to ask for help or to help others. We are not ashamed of the Gospels. We are not claiming to have the answers; we seek Jesus Christ who has the answers. We are not afraid to pray. We are not afraid to show our weaknesses. We are not keeping our blessings to ourselves; we want to share with you! We are not pretending we are not sinners. We Are! We are not afraid to admit we need to strengthen our relationship with Christ. We are not afraid to ask for forgiveness. We do! We are not going to avoid asking people to visit Shiloh Church. We are not a typical church; our priority is to make people feel welcome! "We are inviting you to visit Shiloh where you will find a lot of people with smiles to make you feel comfortable."
